Slowroom Contemporary was built on the idea of having two aims; unfolding a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work under professional frames, and creating a bridge between the emerging and established contemporary art scene, by letting them exhibit side by side. We are therefore always on a lookout for contemporary artists who would like to get involved and collaborate. Besides the already planned exhibitions for 2019, the Slowroom Contemporary team plans to execute approximately 2-4 exhibitions a year.
OPEN CALL 2019
THE OPEN CALL IS NOW CLOSED
The young nomadic gallery- and exhibition platform Slowroom Contemporary is looking for female queer artists with a strong artistic language and aesthetic, to participate in a group exhibition held in one of Denmark’s progressive churches in August 2019 in extension of Copenhagen Pride 2019.
The thematic part of the exhibition will journey from the physical body we have in common, to the political- and social climate on queer matters versus the institution of the church. Preferably, for this project, we are on the lookout for performance artists who has an already existing project that is documented via recordings we could exhibit as part of the exhibition.
